The Lord Mayor of London, Alderman David Brewer, and his accompanying
delegation will meet the local businessmen, investors and the government
officials today. The visit is being organised by the British Embassy
in co-operation with the Minister of Information and Minister of
State for Foreign Affairs, Dr Mohammed Abdulghaffar. The aim of
the high-level visit is to strengthen the already excellent ties
with Bahrain’s financial and political communities and the
City of London, and to explore the new areas of c-operation. The
delegation includes a wide range of delegates from the UK’s
business and financial industry namely: Standard Chartered Bank,
The Securities and Investment Institute, HSBC, Strutt & Parker,
Jasper Capital, Vector Management, International Financial Services
London, UK Trade and Investment, ABC International Bank, Merchant
Bridge, ACCA, Towers and Hamlins and the London Stock Exchange.
