The UK Financial Services Authority has approved Jasper Capital
as provider of corporate finance advisory services to complement
its established management and financial consultancy business, a
statement said.
The London-based Jasper Capital was established in 2001. It was
formed to facilitate the two-way flow of finance and financial expertise
between the UK and emerging markets, particularly the Middle East,
North Africa, Turkey and Central Asia.
Jasper offers specialist consulting and advisory services to corporate,
financial institution and government clients across global emerging
markets. These are delivered through in-house resources and by sourcing
expertise from the international market place.
In the UK, Jasper focuses on the small and medium sized enterprise
market. In this sector, high demand has been identified for an integrated
package of consultancy and corporate finance services.
In addition to raising debt and equity funding, Jasper provides
ongoing consultancy and advisory services to its clients, which
such companies often lack from traditional consulting and advisory
firms and venture capitalists, the statement said.
Jasper Capital's principals are three highly experienced international
bankers and management consultants. They are Jason Peers, possessing
in excess of 20 years' in the emerging markets.
Martin Willetts, Corporate Finance chief, formerly headed investment
banking, Middle East at Flemings and was also head of investment
banking, London at Gulf International Bank. Richard Sidery, consulting
head, was formerly a senior management consultancy partner at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
