Biography

İhsan graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Money Theory and Banking and started his career in the Audit and Supervision Team of Disbank, Turkey (now Fortis Turkey) in 1987. He later worked in a marketing role within Corporate Banking and was promoted to Branch Manager. He was a Branch Manager with Turk Ekonomi Bankasi AS Turkey from 1995-1998.

In 1998, İhsan moved to Kyrgyzstan to join Demir Kyrgyz International Bank, Bishkek Kyrgyzstan, as general manager. The bank was established by Demirbank Turkey, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, International Finance Corporation, and Netherlands Development Finance Company in 1996 to act as the first foreign bank in Kyrgyzstan to establish money market and treasury operations together with commercial banking activities. The bank was to be the model for other local banks.

Demir Kyrgyz International Bank was chosen by Euromoney as 'Best Foreign Bank' in Kyrgyzstan in 1998, 1999 and 2000.

In 2000, İhsan was appointed general manager to Demir Kazakisktan Bank -Almaty Kazakhstan (part of the Demirbank Group in Turkey).

During his time with various banks in Turkey and Central Asia, İhsan has gained very considerable in-depth experience in the fields of corporate and commercial banking, consumer, retail, SME credits and credit card operations in these markets.

Since 2005, İhsan has run a company specialising in investment and insurance advisory services in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

İhsan is Jasper Capital’s representative in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
