Biography
Having graduated from London University with an honours degree in history in 1983, Jason joined Lloyds Bank International and spent ten years in various postings in South America, Australasia and the Middle East. He then joined Saudi International Bank, a Saudi government controlled consortium bank managed by JP Morgan, as Head of Corporate Banking.

In 1996, Jason joined Barclays Bank Group where he spent six years. As the Managing Director responsible for a large group of markets, he helped establish the bank as an acknowledged leader in structured trade and export finance, aircraft financing and project finance, and as a leading player in the oil, gas, petrochemical, power and telecoms sectors. He also played a key role in developing the Barclays Private Bank and Barclays Global Investors businesses in the Gulf region.


Having led a significant number of major transactions during his career with three leading financial institutions, he has extensive experience of structuring complex financings, including asset financing, leasing structures and derivative transactions for clients in developing and emerging countries.

In 2001, Jason founded Jasper Capital Limited and has subsequently advised clients ranging from the United Kingdom Government, the Securities & Investments Institute, several Gulf based financial institutions and many leading United Kingdom and Gulf based companies.

Jason is the Chairman of the Middle East Association in the Gulf and on the Middle East Committee of the International Financial Services for London. He is a member of the Saudi British Joint Business Council.

In addition to his role as Group Chief Executive of the Jasper Capital group of companies, Jason sits on the board of several other British companies and is a director of the Jasper Foundation.

Jason is a fellow of the Securities & Investment Institute in the United Kingdom.
