| The Concept |
The Jasper Foundation exists to support and encourage excellence in
young people, by providing opportunities for participants to connect
across cultures and continents, through challenging expeditions, sport
and community service initiatives.
The Jasper Group formed the Foundation to create opportunities for future generations in the countries where it successfully operates and has an extensive network of business sponsors, expert individuals and government contacts to ensure the achievement of the Foundation's aims. The initial focus of the foundation will be on programmes targeting the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), with the intention to develop these more globally over time. The importance of this network and the power of the relationships within it contribute to the Foundation's determination that our youth leadership and development programmes will create life long friendships. Plans include mentoring and support through an alumni website, regular communications, updates and events that will further foster cross-cultural and social relationships and understanding long after young people have participated in one of our programmes. To oversee activities and ensure success, the Foundation has a highly qualified and respected Board of Trustees including three hugely experienced independent trustees, alongside Jasper Capital personnel.
